Animation short film made collectively by the participants of the Narrative Workshop that describes the experience of migrants on arrival in Mexico, as well as the opportunities generated by the integration of migrants in the communities of destination.
The “Narrative Workshop for Migrants, Refugees, Deportees and Returnees: Counting Migration from Another Perspective” took place in Mexico City and was attended by 23 people between 15 and 70 years old. It was aimed at people who have undergone or are undergoing various migration processes and who today seek to build a dignified life in Mexico. A space for learning and knowledge was created, where the existing negative narratives about migrants and the different approaches to deconstruct them were identified. By sharing their own stories, through various collective dynamics, participants built messages that were used in audiovisual materials to defend the rights of all migrants and refugees, who were the main inputs to the script for this animated video.
